Candid moment provided by my devo blog (lordlovelight.tumblr.com)
I’m on this transitional kick, ready to change elements of my life for the better however God wants it. However, in the act of moving forward I took that forbidden look back and was reminded of all the bad I’ve done. I realized that I pulled some interesting stunts in my teen years and remembering that nearly discouraged me from moving on. Those little lies come into ours heads, telling us we were happier in the past or that we are too horrible to ever get better. We love to sulk in them. Well, the second I left my pity and switched my Pandora station to something more uplifting, a reminder of forgiveness came. Three songs straight spoke of forgiveness and transition. We don’t forget what we have done, but God does. He gave us Jesus and the second we ask for forgiveness with a genuine heart, that blame is gone. There’s a second chance..or third, or forth, or tenth. What I’m trying I’m saying is that I’m not going to let the lies get to me and neither should you.
