Judges 19 @lordlovelight.tumblr.com

“On the fifth day, when he rose to go, the girl’s father said, ‘Refresh yourself. Wait till afternoon!’ So the two of them ate together.” -Judges 19:8

The Levite has one mission: go in, get his wife back, get out. He planned to stay for one day tops but soon 1 day turned into 5 with just a little bit of persuasion from his father-in-law. Procrastination is an epidemic amongst us; often I find 5 more minutes turning into an hour. We don’t like getting back to reality but we weren’t meant to let our lives pass us by. Life doesn’t stop because we choose to take a break. The world likes to offer us these little breaks reminding us that we “can always go back to church later,” arguing “who cares if you sin now? Just ask for forgiveness later.” Then one weekend away turns into a month, a month becomes a year, and before you know it you are lost in the world with a nonexistent faith. Life is short. Don’t let procrastination make hell your final destination.
