Day 26: Romans 1 @lordlovelight.tumblr.com

“First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.” Romans 1:8

Paul writed to the people of God that their faith was being reported all over the world. These people were living with such passion for God that they were making a difference; a noticable impact. How loud is your faith? Can people hear it from around the world or is it just a whisper of internal thought. Paul is telling us to live life loud, to shine the brightest in utter darkness. No more closet Christians but faithful children of God, unafraid to proclaim. In verse 16, Paul says, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” What is the biggest sign of shame: speaking up or keeping silent? Salvation is for everyone, but sometimes we act like it’s the world’s best kept secret; like some underground project, kept on the hush hush, too shameful to share. No! Go and tell someone! Instead of wasting your time on the largest social network in the world, use it to proclaim the name of Jesus. Make your faith be reported all over the word [wide web]. Mark 4:21-23 says, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on a stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” Be a vessel to transmit the light of the world because all deserve to see it.

Day 1: Daniel 1 @lordlovelight.tumblr.com

“In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besiged it. And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hands…” - Daniel 1:1-2

It’s strange to see God delivering his people into the hands of the enemy but you can be sure that he has a plan to use his people behind enemy lines. Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were taken as exiles to Babylon.  It is within these new borders that God can be shared with those who don’t know him. If God sends you somewhere  out of your comfort zone, away from home, where his name is not proclaimed, it is because he is calling you to be a source of light in the darkness. Sometimes we must fail to be taken to where we are needed most. So before you question why God let something happen, stand and ask how he wants to use you there. You may be surprised at what he acommplishes in a place you never thought you would end up. Daniel and his friends we called to make a difference, even if it meant being servants. The more humble we are, the more God can use us. Wherever you are, God can do extraordinary works through you if you have faith in him.
